Tonight we are at grocers Table 326 Broadway Ave S, downtown Wayzata a stones throw from Wayzata Bay on Lake Minnetonka. We walked into Grocers Table last November when 6Smith a few blocks away which was phenomenal. We also checked on the newest restaurant in the area Josefina on the other side of the building which looked nice that we plan for next month.
Grocers Table is another of the Farm to Table restaurants. PLUS Grocers Table is also a store for many of the products that are on their menu.
The wine list is adequate for a place this size with about 20 wines with Red, Rose's & Whites. E had an excellent Cab from Alexander Valley, CA. I had a Noir from OR/Willamette Valley mine was good.
For food we started with a charcuterie board that was one of the best we have seen in the metro. There must have been thirty things on it. Five-Six cheeses, 5-6 meats, multiple olives, onions, carrots, tomatoes, walnuts, raisins. More things then we could name and all fresh & tasty. The board was about $25 and would be a light be all by itself.
We also ordered a hot salmon salad with greens, a egg, beets, purple cabbage, capers and pickled onions to go with the salmon. Another dish that could have been a meal all by itself.
Lastly we ordered the pasta if the day. It has red tomato sauce
For a acidity and the they added bacon and cheese to add just the right amount of savory to make the dish incredible.
The restaurant was nice and clean and the deck inviting without feeling like you were on top of another table.
With some restaurants in the TC we have had to walk 5-6 block in not so nice neighborhoods. On one side of this restaurant is the lake and on the other is a free parking ramp across the street.
Another thing that bugs me is having to listen to four tables conversations as I eat. Either the people out here are more quiet, which is the case or there are better acoustics. A quiet meal is nice.
It has been it's been six months of every Friday since a restaurant made our top ten as 6Smith did. Grocers Table is a great addition to our top ten.
One last thing. The people watching with the rich crowd of Wayzata was incredible!
We'll be back.
