There are hundred of parades in Minnesota every year. We have one parade we attend every year and that is the Grand
Old Day Parade. Grand Old Day is on Grand Ave from the Summit over looking St Paul to Fairview Avenue. Grand Ave
runs for miles so it's usually easy to find a parking spot 3-4 blocks from Grand Ave.
 
Grand Old Day is the largest single day festival in the midwest. St Paul shuts down on Grand Ave and it is filled
corner to corner with people, kids, dogs, bikes, food, bands, artists and about anything you can imagine. And it
don't COST NUTH!
 
Grand Old Day is base Americana: candy being thrown for the kids, candidates pressing flesh, gymnysts being thrown
in the air, Vulcan's painting black on their victims and with a rare exception god gives us a beautiful day and
everyone is happy having a great time.
