To Do in the Twin Cities
Every year for the past 5 years, Sans Covid year, E & I have been going on the Friends of Plymouth Library Garden Tour. It’s a dozen people with incredible gardens, yards and etc that open their property up for tours. We found it much better than sneaking in at midnight with a light. It takes maybe two hours, you see some incredible properties and is fun. Here is the info:
Garden Tour tickets are $10 in advance or $15 on the day of the event and are for sale at Bachman’s in Plymouth. Children ages 12 and under are free. Tickets may also be purchased at individual gardens on the day of the tour. Follow the cross streets for directional signs: 28th and W. Medicine Lake Road, Schmidt Lake Road and Balsam Lane; Schmidt Lake Road and Forestview Lane; and 39th and Zachary Lane. All of the above are in Plymouth. The fifth garden is in New Hope - 49th and Yukon.

A large variety of trees fill this yard, including a 200 year-old oak! Hostas and hydrangeas are favorites and when volunteer plants appear, they are welcome to stay!
