If you are looking for a great art fair, there are few comparable to the September Edina Fall into Arts Art Show. There are several reasons for this. First of all, it is in the Centennial Lake Plaza of Edina just south of Southdale. Centennial Lakes is a beautiful complex with great buildings connected by canals similar to Venice. Most of the Fall into Arts show is located along these canals, which people are leisurely watching the canals while others sail radio-controlled boats. The show never seems to be packed as other shows are.
Most art shows are in June, as is the 50th & France Edina Art Show. In September there are very few art shows in the metro. It is a very low stress that is safe and has plenty of free parking. The Fall into Arts Show is always the weekend after Labor Day Weekend. This year we went to the art show then went to St Mary’s Greek festival a few miles away. Both are must see.
