Our Review

Churchill St is the latest in Farm to Table Restaurants servicing North Oaks, Shoreview and the North Metro. This is a must see place that would fit in with all the great restaurants in Wayzata. 

I wish we could find a new place like this once a month.

Churchill St opened a few months ago in November. It is kinda the post pandemic type of restaurants. You walk up to the order desk to order wine from a order desk. 

Each table has a number, we are  19, that the wait staff delivers the food to.  Of course there is a 15% surcharge, stated on the menu instead of the optional tip.

Churchill St has a nice but not overly abundant wine list. E had her Alexander Valley CA Cab that was clearly decanted. The wine was breathed just right. I had a Mendoza Argentina Malbec, also very good.

We agreed to order an olive appetizer AND a fried Risotto balls in red sauce. The Risotto done exceptionally well. I was told I would not like risotto and E was WRONG… it was great. 

The olive plate visually was very good but taste wise, not exceptional.

The water is self service. I had some honey in mine.

Next we had a Tuscan Salad with arugula cheese, apples, pine nuts & creamy apple dressing, it was good.

Finally, came the steak & fries. I thought the presentation was a bit lacking, E thought it was fine. But what it lacked in visual it more than made up in taste. It was exceptional.

We enjoyed all aspects of Churchill St and will return and take friends... Great place!
