On a very short list of places you can take people and they just say WOW is Brits Pub. I was taken here by a bunch of Pacemaker folks in the 1990s. We took the afternoon off and went Lawn Bowling a VERY British tradition. Everything about Brits Pub on Nicollet Avenue downtown screams of the British. E & I have sat on the lawn, cut as short as a putting green and watched the Olympic games and have watched Shakespears plays on the same lawn. It'' ALWAYS a great time. And the British Food and drink is unequaled in the midwest. People are nice, it's not too spendy and it'' always a great time. They even have free parking on the same block. They offer reservations so by all means call ahead and enjoy the great evening.

I had Fish & Chips (that s a Fish Fry with fries in the midwest) E had a Cheese burger, we had our usual 2 glasses of wine for $68 + $9 city tax or $77. A great price for a great evening including parking! If you just go up to drink wine is $11, one of the cheapest places in the metro.
