Barbette is total France: the decor, the people, the location, the menu & the wines.We had a very flavorful salad with the crunch of celery and the taste of grapes. The salmon we ate had great presentation and taste. The place is interesting yet quiet enough to talk. The prices were very affordable considering the quality of service & food. We will go back.
I was asked last week what our favorite French Restaurant is. I knew French Fries we're American so I knew not what to say. So we went on Google and found a French Restaurant. Barbette is supposed to be the best in the TC so here we are here tonight. We are two blocks from Hennepin & Lake in Uptown. We came down here in July for a Bastille day party. This place is SO FRENCH: the people, the decor, the food the atmosphere, it was a fun trip to France. The food & wine were great and tasty, we will be back.
On the way out we asked about when their annual Bastille Block Party would be. The Germans would give you time & date to the second. The Brits would give you a weekend. NOT THE FRENCH! Their answer was: we'll see what WORKS FOR US....check the website. Gotta LOVE the Frogs!
