THR3 Jack
If you are new to the Twin City great restaurant scene, you can do no better than go to 700 Washington Ave N and throw a stone. That area of North Loop, about a mile from Washington & Hennepin in the North Loop warehouse district is without question our favorite place to eat and drink.
Why is very simple. The place is safe, thanks to the business owners in the area paying for additional security. Anywhere in the area within a block you can find a place to park. There are no protesters, graffiti and nice sidewalks to go through the area. And nice people everywhere!
At a mile away you will find some of our favorite places: North Loop Wine & Spirits we go to for a wine tasting every Friday night, Spoon & Stable, Maison Margaux, Porzana, Sanjusan, Billy Sushi, Red Rabbit & Cow, Monte Carlo, Hewing, Tullibee, Runyons, JD Hoyts, Nolo’s, Smack Shack, Freehouse, Darios, Guacaya Bistreaux, Bevs, The Nordic with a handful of restaurants and this past weekend THR3 Jack. We have eaten at and written reviews on each of these places, ALL are good!
So, when E said we were going to the area, and it was walking distance from our Friday Night wine tasting at North Loop I knew we would have a great evening. In a competition for names I can’t think of many less descriptive than THR3 Jacks, but names rarely make the place.
E’S favorite burger is from Wild Wings of Roseville. Mine is from THR3 Jack I had the other night. It tastes like something you would get in Wisconsin. Something that would kill you and they would need to work to get the smile off your face before putting you in the ground. This thing was a bit greasy and killer fries and it was something you wanna order a second, just in case they closed so you would have a back-up. It was good.
THR3 Jack touts itself as a Sports Bar. Before you question that… Do you know a lot of sports bars that have golfing range with 70 courses, THR3 does. And in fact they have six sports simulators offering dozens of games, unlike anywhere in the metro.
They are a large place with great indoor and outdoor seating. They need to add a band to their courtyard and they would have a huge crowd every night. And YES, you can bring your dog, if YOU are well mannered.
Their menu is a great blend of happy food: wings, Nachos, sammichs, soups & salads, burgers even salmon & steak sandwich’s. I LOVE their menu Food on one side Drinks on the other. They had six wines with reds, whites, sparkling’s & a rose’. Alcoholic & non-alcoholic cocktails and a good selection of beers & non-alcoholic drinks.
I had a burger and E had a watermelon & quinoa salad, yea I know too healthy for a burger joint, but it was fine.
Our bill was $79 and Emily our server was fun. Hell after writing this and looking at the pictures I wanna go back already. It’s a great place!
