Tonight we are at Prima Restaurant at 52nd & Lyndale.
Prima opened in 1999 as a neighborhood Italian restaurant that needs to be tried if you are going to local Italian restaurants.

We were ten minutes early for our 7PM Friday night reservation. Did we wait in the entryway? Nope, in a full restaurant they had a lunch bar overlooking the street where we were seated and had wine & bread. One of the best waits to be seated we have ever had.

For wine E had a 2018 Montepulviano D' Abruzzo, Cantina Zaccagnini, DOCG from Italy for $11 a glass. She did so after I gave her S for always ordering Cabs. We are hosting an Italian Wine tasting in a week with The MN Wine Club and I thought… When I'm Rome…

I on the other hand had a 2018 La Mancha Tempranillo from Spain $10. I wanted a Super Tuscan but they had none by the glass. Both were good pours and were good.

We asked for a bread basket and had one a minute later… great bread!

Good people, good wine & food at a good price... Of COURSE we will be back!
