We discovered Greek Food at St Marys Orthodox Church with the big Gold Dome on Lake Calhoun (I only spell words with vowels) the weekend after Labor Day. We have learned to LOVE Greek food. And we love Olive & Lamb.

The other day while returning home from a pool party E said she didn’t want to cook so let’s pick something up to drink wine and watch a terrible movie to on our back deck. Chipolte is our go to takeout place. I said we have been eating a lot of Chipolte how about something different. We had Jimmy Johns earlier in the day so THAT was out. After a bit of thought, why not Olive & Lamb? Perfect.

We were coming from St Paul, get off at the North end of 280 and it’s about 3 miles away just off University in the NordEast. Olive and Lamb is 7 blocks from the Lowry Mississippi Bridge on University. IT looks like it was once a 7/11 type of place.

We have been going to Olive & Lamb for ten years. The have a great variety of food to take home or eat there. Not all food can be taken home from restaurants and still be good, their can be.

So we ordered a Gyro Platter for $18, extra flat bread for $2 and some brown rice. It’s a perfect back deck build your own sandwich with: lamb, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, rice, bread it’s a good sammich!

We have learned to like lamb it’s a great unique taste, especially when cooked by someone that knows how to prepare it. The bill was $21.81, hell you can’t eat at McDonalds for that price these days! We will definitely be back and maybe this month! Love Olive & Lamb!
