We rarely report on chains restaurants. That said a lot of people are new to the metro and don’t know what to expect. Culvers is a Wisconsin based restaurants, they say so on their commercials. Being Cheesehead based they specialize in dairy products: malts, custard, ice cream and more. Things maybe you should not eat daily if you expect to be an Olympic athelete.

We think of Culvers as a step up from McDonalds and other fast food. They deliver your food to your table after you order it at a counter. They try to be a good community company. At the Culvers in Blaine where we attended they had a flag disposal box for the cub scouts and I used it.

The food is always great. I have not had a great fish fry this year, though we worked hard to find one. Culvers fish fry was very good. I call the place our back home food place. Some place if you are from a small town in the Midwest you will recognize the food and the people and feel a bit more at home. The price well figure about twice of what you are paying at McDonalds and with fast food going up in porice it won’t be long before they are the same price.

We enjoy every trip to Culvers and I consider it a treat. Our bill with a burger a 3 piece fish fry, fries and malts was $34. Not a bad price.
